Everything I Own

2.5 hr digital Audio work / Amplifier / Speakers / Packing crate

An exhuastive list detailing every item owned and accrued by an individual. A check list of all things that constitute a material life.

The project provides full transparancy of information, revealing intimate details through a check list.
Taken from a formal list for migration the list also constitutes a form of identity.

We hear the recording of the artists voice extremely fatigued emminating from the crate, worn out, attempting to recount every single thing at a point of sheer exhaustion.

Intended to be overwhelming the work captures the absurdity and excess of things one actually owns. The items that we register and locate our sense of self and belonging through. Items we must account for in various capacities.

The work points out the preposterous amount of belongings we seem to need in contemporary urban life and by extension highlights the mania of consumption.
